In 2010, Nicholas Creative teamed up with Netvantage Marketing to launch Football IQ Score, a website where sports enthusiasts take a test mimicking the Wonderlic intelligence test administered to pro football players as part of the NFL draft.
The website provides the Average Joe (or Joelle) an opportunity to measure his or her own aptitude for learning and problem-solving and see how they measure up to famous football players–from low scorers like Vince Young, who barely scraped by with a 6, to former punter Pat McInally, who has the only perfect Wonderlic score in league history.
What started as an experimental (and entertaining) project has exploded into a portal that averages more than 1 million pages views per month. In fact, when Johnny Football's score was released earlier this year, the site experienced a record 40,000 unique visitors in a single day.
There have been many improvements over the years: a revamped technology infrastructure; development of a 12-minute, 50-question test; and the addition of more than 100 new questions that are randomly served to test-takers.
The next logical step? A mobile app, of course. The app, available on Google Play as both free and paid versions, offers the same fun user experience as the website in a mobile-friendly format.
Are you up for the challenge? Try the web version or download the mobile app for Android. And don't forget to let us know how you score.
