Nicholas Creative was selected to build a new website for Michigan State University’s Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum. The museum, which is slated to open November 9, will focus on modern and contemporary works.
“We are excited to be part of this momentous project that will help shape the future of the MSU campus and East Lansing community,” said Nicholas Chilenko, founder of Nicholas Creative. “We can look out of our office windows and see the progress of the building on the other side of Grand River, so this project is very personal.” The funding for the museum was a gift from Eli and Edythe Broad in June 2007. The couple’s love of art has allowed them to build two of the most prestigious art collections of postwar and contemporary art throughout the world. World-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects designed the $45 million dollar, 46,000 square feet building. The minimalistic appearance of the website will take cues from the unique architecture of the building and use the art itself as the basis for the design. Visitors will be immersed in an interactive and educational experience true to the physical museum tour. The website will contain information on upcoming exhibitions and programs, including high resolution photos and video of art. Visitors can also join the museum online for special access to VIP events and other benefits.
